Picture Quiz 32

All Comments Published

-------------------
Update:Big comment added on how I expected this to flow after the first hints.

Update: More hints added.

-------------------
Let's try this. Hints are common this time.

1. One of the persons has made an appearance on quizote before.
2. Professions (current or ex) of three of them are the same.
3. The profession of the person mentioned in #1 is not the same as anybody else's in this group.
4. Professions of two of them are fairly obvious.
--------------------------------

o The person in hint 1 is Beckham.
o Three persons mentioned in hint 2 are the two ladies in second picture and the guy in the third one.
o The hidden flag in the second picture looked white and blue.
o Profession of person in the third picture is "fairly" obvious by looking closely at the picture.

--------------------------------

Good Luck, I will try to check mails before we leave tomorrow, otherwise you will have to wait till my Sunday night.

Some old fashioned fun.

hints???

would it be too obvious if #1 were Zizou and Materazzi??

#2 Graf/Sabatini

er.... this entire quiz was really tooo vague for words, you know... there wasn't that teasing element in one corner of your brain telling you that you know or should know who that is...

Ok, looks like this was pretty tough. I thought only #1 would be very tough but guess the other two were by no means easy.
---

I was hoping that #3 would be a starting point for clues as it is the easiest to work out given the picture. There are at least three things in that picture that tell you that he might be a xxx player. Two of them are obvious and third one is his weird backlift that tells you that he may not have played a lot of cricket. The other two are clearer than this one.

If you get #3, then the some combinations of using the hints should get you #2 (three of them have same (ex)profession. The chances of one of the women being a soccer player are really low compared to both being xxx players.

Then after realizing that all of those three made their quizote debut, one of the soccer players has previously featured. There are not too many of then. Two IIRC. And between Bhutia and Beckham, let's say he is more of a Beckham (or use Beckham first for the search.)

Then since he is the only one in this quiz with soccer as his profession (another hint), the guy he is playing with is not a soccer player.

When does a famous non-soccer player play with David Beckham in front of good crowd in a professional looking uniform?

If you answer that question, google would bring that image on a platter for you.

Tough undoubtedly, but workable after the first set of hints. :)

Picture 3 shows a tennis court (look at the "crease" ). Also he is wearing shorts with a ball in one pocket.

Tennis player name + cricket should get you the image in 3-4 tries.

Man, no way would I have got any of these. First because I don't know many football layers, and similar for tennis so I kind of gave up since I didn't want to start brute force searches on Google. I still don't know who the third one is. I have to agree with Vidya on this one. Most of the times with your quizzes, it's always "Oh i know that, why can't i remember his name" but that lacked this time. I would have probably got the second one easily if I hadn't given up already.

OK, I need to put up another one. Already have an idea.

so who's #3??

Oops. Had not realized that DP sent me the answer over IM.

It is Roger Federer.

Search string "Federer Cricket"
